Gideons International (also known as Gideon’s Bible) is an evangelical Christian organization dedicated to distributing copies of the Bible in over 80 languages and 190 countries of the world to those who might not otherwise encounter it, most famously in hotel and motel rooms. The organization was founded in 1899 in Boscobel, Wisconsin, as an early American parachurch organization dedicated to Christian evangelism. It began distributing free Bibles, the work it is chiefly known for, in 1908, when the first Bibles were placed in the rooms of the Superior Hotel in Superior, Montana.

Nearly 76.9 million Gideon Scriptures were given out in 2007. Close to 1.5 billion have been distributed since 1908

I met somebody who is called Fang. But she didn’t know her name meant something in English. So here it is : A fang is a long, pointed tooth. In mammals, a fang is a canine tooth, used for biting and tearing flesh. In snakes, it is a venom-injecting tooth (see snake venom). Spiders also have fangs, which are part of the chelicerae. Some fantasy creatures such as dragons and vampires have fangs as well.

Some people might remember Hans Fegelein as an SS-Obergruppenführer who was husband of the sister-in-law to Adolf Hitler through Hitler’s marriage to Eva Braun. However, recently Fegelein has emerged as a comic figure in the YouTube Hitler parodies.

Just go to YouTube and type in “Fegelein Fegelein Fegelein” to see what mean. Fegelein’s role in the 2004 film Downfall (Der Untergang) became significant in regards to the internet parodies of the film found on YouTube. Fegelein is considered by many to be a central parody figure, being depicted as a culprit of committing cruel and often comical antics against Hitler. These antics are depicted less as being random acts of mischief, rather more as a type of artform practiced by Fegelein. Consequently, the perception of Fegelein has slowly changed from being a rather obscure SS-Gruppenführer to a mean practical joker.
