Students in most Western countries are now entering the final stages of the Exams. Here are some tips that will hopefully make it a bit easier for them.
How to survive exams and prepare yourself
1. Make sure all your notes are up-to-date
2. Try to work out a good planning
3. Make sure you understand everything. Ask help from fellow students if necessary
4. If there is one thing you should learn by heart, it is the Table of Contents
5. Get enough sleep
6. Summarize, summarize, summarize
7. Study boring theory by finding practical examples
8. At the exam, read the questions carefully
9. If it looks like a trick question, it probably is
10. Don’t panic

Memory Loss in Ecstasy Users

Studies have shown that the recreational drug Ecstasy can cause brain damage when used often, but a new study suggests that even a few doses of the illegal substance can alter the brain’s memory system and that the changes may be long-lasting.
“We didn’t expect to find such changes,” said Dr. Maartje De Win, a resident in radiology at the Academic Medicine Center in Amsterdam. She and her colleagues tested the effects of the popular drug on 188 young adults (average age 22) they recruited who said they had intentions of trying Ecstasy but had not done so yet.

Basic education refers to the whole range of educational activities taking place in various settings (formal, non formal and informal), that aim to meet basic learning needs. According to the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED), basic education comprises primary education (first stage of basic education) and lower secondary education (second stage). In countries (developing countries in particlar), Basic Education often includes also pre-primary education and/or adult litteracy programs.
